You stand surrounded by broken lives

I bought my first Test Dept album in 1986, from Sounds Unlimited Newmarket on a recording buying/booze trip with Cups and Phil, travelling to the big smoke from the tron in Cups red mini… I had no idea what to expect music wise, this was the era before youtube and well anything approaching what we take for granted these days

All I knew was I’d read about the band once and the review/article made me want to hear this band.

Now seventy billion years later they’ve a new single, Landlord , a new album (winging its way to me as I type) and most importantly something to say on the state of this world in which we live.

What with new releases by the Sleaford Mods and the Dead C… I’m made up

Shout outs to the Ninja for keeping the finger alive – dinner and drinks on me when next we meet!

Yes bob! New music! New finger posts! I’m not familiar with test dept but on the evidence of this single I think that perc and other industrial techno artists must have been influenced by em.
