Venice beach is poppin’?
Since i got over to London, I’ve been seeing a lot of an old friend from my school days. We’ve always had pretty close taste in music, mainly because i appreciate his taste and after listening to what he’s in to start to like what ever it is after a while, in most cases anyway. I’d say since school he has probably matured more than me, maybe having a kid does this? While I’ve gone off and listened to electronic music, he’s carried on listening to a lot of what his dad introduced him to. Mainly guys like early Van Morrison, Steve Earle, John Prine and Louie Armstrong.
Over the next few months we’ll be going to see Lambchop and Nick Cave. woo!
This is probably a highlight of the Steve Earle album for me, which is on his ‘Train a Comin’ album…
And because i got shit for having all my taste in my mouth for being in to an old mental
case last week, here’s a few of the moments that i really like off the new Brian Wilson.
Hopefully some proper music related news next week after the Ame release party at Fabric
this weekend.
Appologies if you were sent the earlier f**k up. Bi**ie taught me that the embedded section of YouTube doesn’t actually embed….
I blame biggie for everything.
Pretty jealous, wish I’d gone to both lambchop and Nick Cave when they played here a few years back.
i thought Lambchop died?
LOL trust you to bring that up websta
*crys at the memories*
i freqn loved Lambchop…
yay fer reefer!
you smoked reefer as a kid? or you watched lamb chops as a teenager? the thought of Wayde being a stoned 16 year old watching this and ‘playing’ along with Shari is too much…
