Tim Sweeney’s BiS has been on form lately with heaps of decent mixes from the likes of Shit Robot, Horse Meat Disco, Tiger and Woods, Joakim this weeks show was James Murphy and it’s grand! Next week, Four Tet.
I know there’s a lot of dislike towards the interviews Sweeney does or his voice but I really enjoy listening to them when I’m walking. It’s super cool hearing these interviews when I’m interested in the producer and what they’re up to at the moment.

There’s been quite a lot of good music coming out of DC lately. The Beautiful Swimmers and now these two, Benoit & Sergio, who i’ve been enjoying since i heard their incredible Walk and Talk on the Wolf and Lamb Vs Soul Clap DJ Kicks; it’s the one with the lyrics “My baby does K all day. She doesn’t wash her hair, doesn’t wash her clothes. When I come home doesn’t even say hello”.

We got to the O2 arena about 11pm after polishing off a Pizza each at Canary Wharf. There was a full on cavity search at the entrance to the Arena!!!! Ok, maybe just bags and pockets, but still unexpected, because this wasn’t even Matter we were entering. The O2 Arena can best be described, to Aucklanders, as a cross between Botany Downs and an Airport terminal and a very weird place for a club! No atmosphere in a massively oversized enclosed space.
