Quarion in Auckland
Quarion from Drumpoet Community will be gracing Auckland next weekend (Saturday June 28th), playing (the most unlikely of clubs) Khuja Lounge.
I’m pretty excited about this, as drumpoet seems to be somewhat of an unhealthy obsession of mine at the moment (for those interested, checkout Drumpoems Verse 1 which is a collection of some of the drumpoet releases featuring Quarion, Manuel Tur, Soultourist, Kawabata and Sasha Dive to name a few).
I found a recent Quarion set from last month over here which aint too bad at all.
Art Bleek – Modern spaces (connaisseur)
Westpark - Unit Goin’ Steady (future classic)
Soultourist – Fo eva (drumpoet community)
Unknown/Three – 3.1 (slowhouse recordings)
Lee Jones – As you like it – Recloose remix (aus)
Quarion - Vibrations (drumpoet community)
Milton Jackson – Randoms – Hiro remix (tronic soul)
Stephanie Cooke – Holding on to your love – Mood II Swing dub (king street)
Omar S - Psychotic photosynthesis (fxhe)
John Daly - Falling angels (plak)
Dachshund - Holiday now (perspectiv)
Quarion (Berlin)

Have met and chatted with Ianeq (querion’s real name) a few times in the last few weeks and told him what to expect down-under!
Guess it’s a bit of a pity that you won’t hear his full club set, but I’m sure his loungey house stuff is also wicked. His new one on Drumpoet is a bomb!
Super nice dude too. Enjoy
Yanneck was apparently warned to play funk/downbeat and so that is what he did. Bit of a pity, but was fun all the same. Lovely guy indeed.
I enjoyed arriving for his second set – I’m sure I caught at least a couple of drumpoet tracks and it was a nice deep house vibe from what I remember.
Although things were a little blurry by that point
Hmmmm perhaps they were blurrier for me!
