Karma Points!
Bob, the Wife™ and I are now friends of the Small Speckled Kiwi and Saddleback.
On the Wife’s suggestion we piled onto a ferry, braving the tsunami!, to the beautiful Motuihe Island this Sunday past.
We dug out holes for Kiwi’s, repotted some natives and harvested some cabbage tree seeds before finding ourselves swimming on a mostly deserted beach.
Things we learned :
1 The Saddleback was deemed extinct in the 80’s only to be rediscovered on the hen and chook islands.
2 Motuihe is possibly the worst pronounced Maori name going, you all prolly know the island from it white guy pronunciation – Motuhi
3 Tsunami’s? we shit em!

digging holes to trap and kill Kiwi’s. Shame on you. Karma’s a bitch
no, we were cleaning them out for their imminent arrival.
