I walk alone

Written by: 9 November 2016 No Comment

Songs and albums can be such wonderful memory triggers and in our always on digitally available music world taking a journey down the memory plughole is really easy and often surprising for the twists and turns songs can take you.

I started off on Karizma feat. DJ Spen Р4 The Love (Kaytronik 2011 Remix) thanks to the latest Kenny Dope mix the other day

DJ Spen lead me towards wanting to hear more lush house tunes.. by coincidence Lelo was posting up a storm on the social medias about some gig he was attending… which lead me to Kerri Chandler (perfect timing Lelo ya gripper)

which thanks to a Facebook distraction I enjoy (a vinyl group) saw me posting about a Reset Record cause I like posting things… and I loved the record in question… Paperecordings has also been on my mind as they’ve just dropped their 200th release and I’ve been chatting via LinkedIn of all bloody things with one of the labels owners about what we’re up to and the good old days over the month – they’ve just made a doco on Norwegian House Music (naturally)… which took me here

I then scored this latest Matt Drake mix, which while not house sure as fuck is HOUSE

On top of all this my flu has finally cleared to the pint where I feel semi human and in a chipper mood in which to get melancholy to music that moves me while enjoying the warmer days.

I sit in my office listening to music… not much to do….
