I remember when we were cabbage patch kids making out in a pile of garbage pail kids trading cards

It’s the first proper wet and dank day of winter… a day where taking the bus is both a chore and a pleasure, a chore cause you get wet walking to and fro… a joy cause the heatings on, the driver takes you where you want to go with no fuss or hassle and you can simply sit and reflect on life. in my case this means weeping uncontrollably as I stare at cat gifs on my phone, a tactic that always gets me a seat to myself – aisle sitters (ya cunts) take note.

Now there are many ways to deal with the wet… embrace it or complain bitterly about it, pointing out every few minutes to whomever is in range that its raining, then add in how heavily the rain is falling… repeat this cycle until your brain hurts… Me personally I subscribe heavily to this complaints mode of behaviour as its personally satisfying, gives you ready to use subject matter for conversation and can also be highly annoying.

Today however I chose the other route, that is to fully embrace the wet, to walk with gusto up the drive (quite an accomplishment in itself given our drive), march to the bus stop enjoying the sensation of water creeping into me shell toes (perhaps the most useless shoe ever designed to combat the wet) and pumping the air with my fist as the youths played their NWA on their phones speakers up the back of the bus when it finally arrived.

Which brings me to my song of the week, or actually a series of songs cause I can never decide which I like the most, you see these are personal classics, long time friends and comrades who’ve seen my through many a wet day and night… I like them and am sharing so suck it up and have a listen.

Taking a look on discogs confirms my fear – the fucking records aren’t worth that much and as such I won’t be selling up and living on a barge anytime soon.

TL:DR boy rides the bus listening to NWA while dreaming of lo fi
