Five Finger Death Punch

I try really hard not to just bung up a RinseFM podcast as my mix find of the week, I really do but they are a consistent upper of dope beats (apologies for using that phrase, I’m not well).

I’d have trouble picking a favourite show/cast from the 6 or 7 I download each week… they’re all entertaining, interesting and musically enlightening… but if you forced my hand by I don’t know asking me nicely at various points in time The Hyperdub show would feature at the top or near too consistently. They regularly feature new cuts I dig… oldies that make me smile (i.e. not obvious) and sometimes stray into musical territory that you’d not expect and love them for.

I’m also picking this one this week as its¬†Scratcha DVA’s last podcast with the hyper dub crew… basically I’m throwing this fact in for good measure.

It features¬†Nuyorican Soul’s I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun so there is also that – can you manage to remain angry as this song plays through – if so you’re either Donald Trump or Henry Winkler – either way you’d be a bit of a cunt.

oh yeah if you’re looking for new telly – get on to Preacher, its fucking awesome

    Cheers Bobby!
I didn’t like that first preacher so much; have actually read that series so I’m a bit skeptical how it’s going to work out.

I listen to about 5/6 rinse shows every time they come out – mostly the grime show, boxed, hyperdub, horse meat disco, and mumdance (mumdance probably my favourite cos he’s the most out there).. There’s other good ones I periodically get into

I didn’t want to like Preacher – never did the comic… so first show I decided I didn’t like it and watched the second to confirm my loathing… and it was as good if not better than the first and now against my better judgement I’m in for the series, at worst it won’t be terrible and at best it might just end up as one of the best telly shows of the year.

    Mumdance I too adore
