I’ve been building the playlist of all playlists for work to save me from having to put up with commercial radio 9 hours a day. I have to be pretty lenient in what gets played with a work mate who would sooner listen to Flava than anything else, which rules out podcasts while he’s here.
It’s been incredible some tracks that I’ve rediscovered that just get no airtime anywhere after just a few years. The playlist is sitting at 14 hours which is kind of perfect because nothing gets played twice …

Embedded below is a playlist of 10 tracks purchased this year. The Workshop 21 ep made it twice which makes it a firm favourite and probably my favoruite release of the year.

I’ll wrap this post up with some mixes I returned to more than a couple of times:
Matrixxman at Dekmantel Boiler Room set

Jane Fitz RA podcast

Well here we go with a lazy 20 of my favourite releases of 2015, all stacked up in Juno. Only rules were excluding albums, and no particular order.
A lot of people complain about end of year lists but I am the type of nerd who gets into lists, and you can find a whole bunch of new music this way and that can’t be bad. Get in there.

The boys and I have been recently indulging our competitive sides with some spectator sport – now we could like good kiwis watch the rugger… though thats not about to happen as both of them want the All Blacks to lose and as such the Rugby World Cup has been fill of disappointments for them thus far. For the rugger mad… neither of them nor any of their friends give a fuck for the game nor World Cup. Now football or CS:Go on the other hand…
So in our not giving them a …

It’s me again, your boy Benny, back again after a hiatus of a few gloomy weeks. It rained non stop for about 3 weeks. I had my head down with work and study and little fun and it seemed like things were never going to come good. In such times I turn to music and Blackest Ever Black’s comp I can’t give you the life you want was on hand to accentuate the gloom.
I’ve probably mentioned my fondness for this label before, and they continue …

Brett Dancer

Brett Dancer – On the Roads
I saw Mr Dancer at Home in London, he was fucking atrocious (Theo Parrish and Larry Heard played too) but he went on to produce so much music i love and release more on his awesome Trackmode label that i care not.
This is a play on the words, Roads/Rhodes hahahaha get it? brillant!
anyway its got dusty beats for days at the start and then it gets into a bumpy bassline and then he just rolls on with the Rhodes organ.  This is my driving song.
soo …

Once again I’m back with a couple of recommendations for the BMP and the wider world on the net.
Track-wise a dip in humidity this week hasn’t caused a dip in my ongoing enjoyment of balearic vibes. If you like your Villages Quiet, your Feels International, and your Jose’s Padilla’d then you might enjoy this from Tom Furse of the Horrors, who at times I’m quite partial to as well. Dropping the darkness of his band he whips up a selection of sedate and sedated wooshers..

Comp wise, …
