Shout out to our buddy Justin Nabbs who recently posted up this mix on his Soundcloud – There’s lots of good stuff in here, including 40 Thieves Ft Qzen ‘Don’t Turn it Off’, Lucky Paul ‘Thought We Were Alone (Money vs Gold Remix)’, Simon Baker ‘Plastik’ & the very excellent John Talabot ‘Leave Me’, whch was recently included on the Permanent Vacation mix ‘If This Is House I Want My Money Back’. Tim Sweeney’s BiS has been on form lately with heaps of decent mixes from the likes of Shit Robot, Horse Meat Disco, Tiger and Woods, Joakim this weeks show was James Murphy and it’s grand! Next week, Four Tet.
I know there’s a lot of dislike towards the interviews Sweeney does or his voice but I really enjoy listening to them when I’m walking. It’s super cool hearing these interviews when I’m interested in the producer and what they’re up to at the moment.

London/L.A based, Chicago born Lee Foss got big props last year with his release ‘U Got Me’ on his label Hot Creations.

The latest Hot Creations release is another classic – in the form of Danny Daze – Your Everything.

I’ve been enjoying this Modern Amusement Podcast by Lee Foss and these two tracks off it especially:
Luca C, Brigante Feat. Ali Love – Morals (Clockwork Remix)

Hollis P. Monroe – I’m Lonely

There’s been quite a lot of good music coming out of DC lately. The Beautiful Swimmers and now these two, Benoit & Sergio, who i’ve been enjoying since i heard their incredible Walk and Talk on the Wolf and Lamb Vs Soul Clap DJ Kicks; it’s the one with the lyrics “My baby does K all day. She doesn’t wash her hair, doesn’t wash her clothes. When I come home doesn’t even say hello”.
Walk and Talk

The few things they’ve released on DFA have also been pretty nice. Boy Trouble back …

Planningtorock – W

Planningtorock’s new album W is out on DFA in a couple of weeks. I’m excited about hearing these two releases in the context of the LP; the videos are creepy but wonderful:

Do you have a cigarette?

Matias Aguayo’s Beats in Space mix from the other week was possibly my favourite in a long while and that’s tough because i’ve been enjoying them much more than any other podcast for a while.
Some live footage of the show here, bird whistles included. Dude rules!
