2015 Albums so far..

Written by: 17 July 2015 5 Comments

Did I miss stink-finger.com? Yes.

Did I think it would return? Honestly, no.

Will it last, now we’re all older, wiser, more haggard, as death’s cold hands steal ever closer? I’m pretty confident it will.

Am I still spending my free and not so free time obsessing over music? Yeah pretty much.

Did I already have a lazy juno chart of my favourite albums from the first half of 2015 knocked up and ready to roll? Yes I did.

Are rhetorical questions a lazy way of introducing that? Yes absolutely.

Here’s my favourite 19* albums so far this year in no real order.

I spent a very enjoyable hour last night looking back through old posts… this thing is too god to leave stagnant

Mega list. Final Thought on Kamasi Washington’s album goes too far over the interpretive wacky sax for me..

Big fan of that Sounds Of The Universe album – it’s been on very high rotation.

The Voices album is great too. First time I listened to it I only liked the last track and thought the rest was a bit average, but repeat listens you seem to keep noticing something else. Needs to be played very loud.

Yes, loud and late at night has seen good results for me.

Mick, me too! I’m not into every track (you could probably edit my 6/7 favs into one album length work) but got to admire the ambition of ‘the epic’.
