There’s been quite a lot of good music coming out of DC lately. The Beautiful Swimmers and now these two, Benoit & Sergio, who i’ve been enjoying since i heard their incredible Walk and Talk on the Wolf and Lamb Vs Soul Clap DJ Kicks; it’s the one with the lyrics “My baby does K all day. She doesn’t wash her hair, doesn’t wash her clothes. When I come home doesn’t even say hello”.

I’m quite enjoying this mix Rob Modell / Deepchord did for DJBroadcast in the Netherlands.
Some nice deep techno for these winter months.

Went and saw Steve Ignorant fom punk band CRASS at the KA last night
it was fab

Season 3 of New Zealand’s Next Top Model kicked off on friday. Being a follower of the previous 2 seasons I’m hoping that this one will be similarly entertaining, and may even keep the ‘finger appraised of my thoughts from time to time.. The first episode was the usual first episode cavalcade of screaming wannabe models, micro clips and voice-overs to establish the models’ identities. The recent passing of Gil Scott Heron reminded me just how powerful his music was, and will hopefully continue to be.

When I was younger a friend and I would often indulge ourselves in a game of pool and a lager or two after a days surfing… they were as they say the best of times… and of the music we used to listen two tracks are firmly lodged in my mind – this is one of them, from their debut self titled album which included the simply brilliant Talking To A Stranger Aussies Hunters and Collectors give to you Run Run Run.
